We build automation infrastructure for businesses that can’t afford to get it wrong
We’re an automation consultancy that builds workflows for businesses. Not the “let’s replace your whole stack” kind. We connect the tools you already use and make them work together without you having to think about it.
Our clients are businesses that deal with high volumes of repetitive work: lead follow-up, CRM-to-ERP sync, campaign reporting, invoice generation. The kind of tasks that someone on the team is doing manually today, and that could be running on autopilot instead.
We scope every project with a detailed proposal, build it using proven orchestration platforms, test it with real data, and hand it off as an independent system you own. No lock-in, no ongoing dependency.
Nicolas Neumann
I started UnpauseAI because I kept seeing the same problem: businesses spending hours on repetitive tasks that should have been automated years ago. Not because they didn’t want to, but because the automation solutions they found were either too fragile, too expensive, or too locked-in to a single vendor.
My background is in software engineering and systems integration. Before UnpauseAI, I worked on data pipelines, API integrations, and workflow automation across multiple industries. I’ve seen what breaks in production and I build to avoid it.
I’m based in Karlsruhe, Germany. I work with businesses across Europe, primarily in the DACH region, and operate in CET timezone. Every project gets my direct attention from scoping through handoff.
What we believe
These aren’t marketing slogans. They’re how we actually work.
Built to stay done
We don't ship prototypes. Every automation is tested with real data, handles edge cases, and runs independently after handoff. No ongoing dependency on us.
Platform-agnostic
We pick the right tool for the job. Make.com for visual workflows, n8n for self-hosted pipelines, Trigger.dev for code-first logic. No vendor lock-in.
Fixed scope, fixed price
Every project is scoped and priced before work begins. You know exactly what you're paying and what you're getting. No hourly surprises.
You own everything
The automation runs in your accounts, on your infrastructure. Full documentation, full access, no lock-in. We hand it off and step back.
Why most automation projects fail
And what we do differently.
Built on demos, not data
Most automations look great in a demo but break the first time real data hits them. Edge cases, missing fields, API rate limits.
Tested with your real data
We test every path with production data before handoff. Error handling, retry logic, and edge cases are built in from day one.
Vendor lock-in
The agency owns the automation. You pay monthly to keep it running. If you leave, you start over.
Full ownership from day one
Everything runs in your accounts. You get the source, documentation, and credentials. No dependency on us after handoff.
Scope creep, budget creep
Hourly billing means the longer it takes, the more you pay. Scope changes silently and the invoice grows.
Fixed price, defined scope
Every project has a written proposal with scope, timeline, and price. Changes are re-scoped and re-priced before we proceed.
How we work
Four phases from first conversation to independent operation.
Discovery
We learn your tools, your pain points, and your workflow gaps.
Proposal
Detailed scope, architecture diagram, timeline, and investment breakdown.
Build & Test
We build with real data, test every path, and iterate until it works.
Handoff
You own the system. Documentation, monitoring, and independent operation.
Our platforms
We pick the right tool for the job, not the tool we know best.
Make.com
Visual workflow automation for complex multi-step processes
n8n
Self-hosted workflow engine for data-heavy integrations
Trigger.dev
Code-first automation for custom logic and AI workflows
We integrate with services like HubSpot, Fortnox, Smartlead, Google Sheets, Gmail, Slack, Airtable, MySQL, Postgres, OpenAI, and more.
